What happens to the children who receive daily school meals when they go home for the weekend?

Kids who receive meals during the week at school also need to eat on Saturday and Sunday.

Donate today and you can make a meaningful difference by helping us discreetly tuck a weekend’s worth of food into backpacks on Fridays.

Just a few dollars donated feeds one child over a weekend. For your $25 donation, you create food security for one child for a month. With a $100 donation, you can sponsor a student for a full semester’s worth of weekend food. Just $250 sponsors a student for the whole school year.

We are currently supporting more than 2,100 children – but our waiting list is even longer.

What an honor for our Founder and Executive Director Lynne B Kahn to be recognized by the City of Baltimore Mayor's Office of Homeless Services during Women’s History Month!Today we celebrate Lynne B. Kahn, founder and executive director of Baltimore Hunger Project (BHP). #WomensHistoryMonth 🌟As a long-time volunteer and community advocate in Baltimore, Kahn provided thousands of lunches to women and children experiencing homelessness from her garage. To further eliminate childhood hunger, she founded BHP, a food distribution program that feeds food-insecure families and children on the weekends.Currently, BHP provides over 2,100 meals to children across the greater Baltimore area by working closely with social workers and guidance counselors at partner schools. Food packages are discreetly tucked into the children's backpacks to ensure that each child maintains their dignity and privacy.🔗 To learn more, visit www.baltimorehungerproject.org/ ...
