Baltimore Hunger Project Recognized by Maximus Foundation for Expanding Impact

We’re thrilled to share that Baltimore Hunger Project (BHP) has been featured in a recent Maximus Foundation press release celebrating 25 years of impact and community investment across the country.

As part of this milestone, the Maximus Foundation awarded new grants to organizations tackling key social challenges—including food insecurity. BHP is honored to be among the nonprofits recognized for our work ensuring children have consistent access to nutritious food and essential resources each weekend.

The Baltimore Fishbowl recently highlighted how the Foundation’s multi-year grant will help BHP expand our reach across Greater Baltimore, increasing the number of students we serve while deepening partnerships with local schools. With this support, BHP will continue to provide weekend food bags, hygiene kits, and birthday bags—removing barriers to learning and helping children thrive.

Like BHP, the Maximus Foundation believes that lasting change begins with investing in people and communities. Over the past 25 years, the Foundation has supported organizations nationwide that strengthen equity, wellness, and opportunity. Their commitment mirrors our mission to ensure every child feels nourished, cared for, and ready to learn.

This partnership arrives at a pivotal time. The need for weekend food support continues to grow, and through collaboration with partners like Maximus, we can meet this demand with dignity and consistency.

Together, we are building a stronger Baltimore—one weekend, one meal, and one child at a time.
