Baltimore Hunger Project’s 4th Annual Thanksgiving Drive
Thanksgiving is a time for reflection, gratitude, and giving back, and this year, Baltimore Hunger Project (BHP) was humbled to witness the incredible power of community support during our 4th Annual Thanksgiving Drive. With the help of dedicated volunteers, donors, and partners, we worked to ensure that families across Baltimore had the opportunity to gather around a table filled with love and nourishment.
This year’s drive connected 1,700 families with hearty Thanksgiving meals, and the impact was immediate and profound. One partner organization shared these heartfelt words in an email after the event:
“Thanks to your efforts, we were able to connect 40 families with a hearty Thanksgiving meal, and we have a waiting list to distribute the remaining meals tomorrow. The generosity of The Baltimore Hunger Project has made an immense impact, and we are beyond grateful.”
The meals provided weren’t just abundant—they were filled with intention and care. Many families shared that the food would allow them to host extended family members or sustain households with five or more children, ensuring no one went without this holiday.
Our amazing volunteers were at the heart of this effort. From assembling the meal packages to delivering them with kindness and cheer, their hard work added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. Families expressed their gratitude for not only the food but also the compassion that accompanied it.
