What inspired you to join the BHP Board? After moving to the Baltimore area, I was looking for a meaningful way to become more connected to my community and use my professional skills in service of something that matters. I was immediately drawn to BHP’s focused, tangible mission and the opportunity to help an organization making a direct difference for children and families. I was also excited by the opportunity to bring my background in insights & strategy to an organization with such a clear impact.
What does fighting food insecurity mean to you? Food is such a basic need, and children shouldn’t have to worry about whether they’ll have enough of it. Fighting food insecurity means meeting that immediate need with dignity while also working to better understand and address the barriers that put families in that position.
What is something you enjoy doing outside of work or volunteering? I love traveling and exploring new places with my husband and son. I’m also happiest with a good book, practicing yoga, or out on my bike.
