“I have had the privilege of consulting with and providing insight to Lynne Kahn for the past 5 years. Lynne’s passionate quest to provide better nutrition and education for the underserved children of our community is inspirational as well as elegantly simple to understand. Children need food everyday to grow, learn and reach their potential. I appreciate how incredibly important this effort is and want to contribute in any small way I can. By joining the Board at the BHP, I hope to be part of the team that truly makes a difference in the needs of our greater Baltimore school system’s children.”

What inspired you to join the Baltimore Hunger Project Board? I first met Lynne Kahn while serving on the board of another local nonprofit and was immediately drawn to the mission of Baltimore Hunger Project. Lynne’s passion and leadership stood out. With years of experience in food production and distribution, I’ve witnessed the urgent need to support underserved communities, especially children. Childhood food insecurity prevents kids from learning, growing, and thriving. By providing consistent food access and educational support, we can help children succeed and strengthen our communities.

What does fighting food insecurity mean to you? Fighting food insecurity means addressing one of the most preventable barriers to a child’s potential. It’s about creating a foundation where all children have the nourishment they need to focus, participate, and succeed without hunger holding them back. It’s a commitment to equity, compassion, and long-term change in our communities.

What is something you enjoy doing outside of work and volunteering? I am an avid golfer and like to work out regularly at a local gym.

Community Involvement: I participate on the board of the Building for God Foundation and support The Wounded Warrior Project.
