Period Equity Initiative

Research indicates that 20% of girls miss school due to a lack of access to sanitary products. Over the past two years, BHP has provided numerous schools with essential menstrual hygiene products for young women and their families. This year, the goal is to assess the specific needs of each school and ensure a monthly supply of these vital items.

Recognizing that each school community is unique, institutions may have food pantries that require sanitary products for visiting families or may wish to ensure that young women have access to supplies within the school. The initiative aims to enhance school attendance and boost self-confidence by supporting young women and their families.
