Be a Warehouse Worker

Overview:

Each week, food and other supplies are delivered to BHP’s warehouse. Volunteers are needed to help unload trucks, organize the packages in the warehouse, restock tables, recycle cardboard and throw out the trash.

Warehouse helpers are key to BHP’s operation. As we are providing nearly 2,000 weekend meals to food insecure children each week, the warehouse needs to stay organized and tables need to be stocked and ready for our weekly corporate and community packing experiences.

Warehouse helpers must be able to lift at least 10 pounds and stand for 2 hours. Ages 15+.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in packing sessions for food distribution.
  • Help receive, unload, and load deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock rotation.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve goals.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, up to 35 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
